Job Title: Chef

Work Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $65,000–$80,000 per annum (based on experience) + Superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week, including weekends and public holidays
About Us
That Place is a vibrant, family-friendly café located just a short walk from Mascot train station. We serve breakfast, brunch, and lunch seven days a week and pride ourselves on providing quality food and warm hospitality in a community atmosphere.
The Role
We are seeking a passionate and creative full-time Chef to join our team and lead our kitchen operations. You'll be responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality meals, contributing to menu development, and working collaboratively with the owner and café manager to create a memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook dishes to order.

Maintain high food presentation and quality standards.

Collaborate on new recipes and seasonal menus.

Manage food inventory and place supplier orders.

Monitor kitchen costs and portion control.

Supervise kitchen staff and ensure a smooth workflow.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations.

Uphold our commitment to customer satisfaction through consistent and quality service.
Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 4 years' experience as a Chef or Cook.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Ability to handle a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Creativity and a passion for developing new dishes.

Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

Availability to work across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
