Salary: $65,000–$80,000 per annum (based on experience) + Superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week, including weekends and public holidays

That Place is a vibrant, family-friendly café located just a short walk from Mascot train station. We serve breakfast, brunch, and lunch seven days a week and pride ourselves on providing quality food and warm hospitality in a community atmosphere.
 

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and creative full-time Chef to join our team and lead our kitchen operations. You'll be responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality meals, contributing to menu development, and working collaboratively with the owner and café manager to create a memorable dining experience.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and cook dishes to order.

• Maintain high food presentation and quality standards.

• Collaborate on new recipes and seasonal menus.

• Manage food inventory and place supplier orders.

• Monitor kitchen costs and portion control.

• Supervise kitchen staff and ensure a smooth workflow.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations.

• Uphold our commitment to customer satisfaction through consistent and quality service.
   

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 4 years' experience as a Chef or Cook.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Ability to handle a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Creativity and a passion for developing new dishes.

• Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

• Availability to work across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
